Purpose

  1. To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life.
  2. To strengthen the function of the family as a basic unit of society.
  3. To encourage democracy through cooperative action in the home and community.
  4. To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony.
  5. To promote greater understanding between youth and adults.
  6. To provide opportunities for making decisions and for assuming responsibilities.
  7. To prepare for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society.
  8. To promote Family and Consumer Sciences and related occupations.

 

Mission

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

What is FFA?      
FFA is a student organization for high school-aged students interested in agriculture and leadership.

 

Mission: "FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education."

Speech, Drama, and Debate Schedule

With the exception of Districts and State, Debate occurs on Friday and all other events occur on Saturday of the tournament weekend.

Nov. 8 - Mounds Speech, Drama, & Debate Tournament 

Nov. 21 & 22 - Sequoyah Speech, Drama, & Debate Tournament  

Dec. 12 & 13 - Muskogee Speech, Drama, & Debate Tournament

Dec. ? - Christmas Play

Jan. 23 & 24 - Muldrow Speech, Drama, & Debate Tournament 

Jan. 30 & 31 - Okmulgee Speech, Drama, & Debate Tournament 

Feb. 13 & 14 - Haskell Speech, Drama, & Debate Tournament (everyone is expected to help with the tournament and helps recruit volunteers)

Haskell Youth Action for Health Leadership (YAHL) is a program powered by Oklahoma TSET. Through training and outreach, we empower youth to make good decisions and advocate for healthy changes in their communities.
